Governor Malherbe Smith

Governor Malherbe Smith

Vice Chair of Governors

Jason Malherbe Smith has spent most of his life in Darlington. He has worked in the telecommunication industry for over 20 years in different areas including Customer Services, Technical analyst and for the past 16 years work within the finance section.

Jason has one daughter who attended Whinfield Primary since Reception age and he has watched her grow and develop whilst she has been attending this school. Over the years she has taught him how children’s education is paramount for tomorrow’s future and how schools nurture each child to reach their potential.

Along with everyone who respects and values state education, Jason strives to ensure that within Whinfield Primary School we maintain high ambitions and standards for our school and for our pupils.
